1
What do these terms cover?
Using vectis-works.com, a Vectis Works website, means accepting these terms. Anyone who does not accept them should stop using the site.
2
Why did I get an email from you?
Vectis Works sometimes writes to professionals whose work relates to what it offers. To end those messages, answer any one of them and say so. Our privacy policy sets out the information we hold, its sources, and how to ask us about it.
3
What is this site for?
It explains the dashboards, shop-floor data work, software and automation Vectis Works offers manufacturers. It makes no offer to contract with anyone.
Work with us happens only under its own written agreement, signed on both sides. Where that agreement and these terms disagree, the agreement wins.
4
Are the dashboards and figures here real results?
No. Every dashboard, chart and figure on this site, or in a Vectis Works sample dashboard, runs on representative sample data. Each one shows the sort of view we build. None of them is a client's result, and none promises your operation any outcome.
5
What am I not allowed to do here?
Keep your use of the site lawful. Don't interfere with how it runs, don't try to get into it or the systems behind it without permission, don't test it for weaknesses, and don't copy its content with automated tools.
6
Who owns what is on the site?
Vectis Works or its licensors own the words, images, logos and everything else here. Viewing pages, and printing them as a reference for your own business, is fine. Anything beyond that, such as copying, distributing or republishing, needs our permission in writing first.
Ownership of work done for a client is decided by that client's written agreement.
7
What about the sites this one links to?
Links here go to vectisworks.com, and the typeface comes from Google Fonts. Those third parties set their own terms, which govern your use of them, and we take no responsibility for what they do.
8
Do you promise the site is accurate and always up?
No. You get the site "as is" and "as available", as general information only. As far as the law permits, we disclaim every warranty, express or implied, among them non-infringement, merchantability and fitness for any particular purpose. We also make no promise that the site runs without interruption or errors.
Nothing here counts as legal, financial, engineering or other professional advice.
9
What is Vectis Works liable for?
Vectis Works carries no responsibility, to whatever extent the law allows, for damages of an incidental, indirect, special, consequential or punitive kind that arise from using the site. The same goes for lost data, profits, revenue or opportunities.
For any claim connected with the site, the most Vectis Works will ever owe in total is one hundred US dollars.
10
What if my misuse of the site causes a claim?
If a claim, loss or expense comes from your misuse of the site or from breaking these terms, you will indemnify Vectis Works, its owners, its team members and its agents, and hold them harmless, with reasonable fees for attorneys included.
11
Which law applies, and how are disputes settled?
Tennessee law governs these terms, setting aside Tennessee's own conflict of law rules. Disputes about these terms or the site go to binding arbitration in Nashville, Tennessee, under American Arbitration Association rules, unless the law does not permit arbitration.
12
What else should I know?
Should a court find part of these terms unenforceable, everything else still applies. If we don't enforce a term, we haven't waived it. Between you and us, these terms and our privacy policy make up the whole agreement about the site.
The terms may be revised, and the effective date above tells you which version is current.
